Nubian Village
I spent the day in a Nubian Village across the Nile from Aswan. It was as if I had gone back in time where dirt roads and old villagers chatting on their stoops. The people were gracious and kind, welcoming my foreign presence. I ate a traditional Nubian meal in one of their homes which was, to my surprise, the most delicious meal I've had in a while!
Abu Simbel
Watching the sunrise at the Temple of Abu Simbel was not only captivating but quite possibly a highlight of my life...
Pyramids & Camel Rides
A major highlight of Egypt was riding a camel through the Great Pyramids of Giza. It was unreal to say the least. I felt like I was on a movie set in the middle of the desert. I still cannot believe they are over 4,000 years old...they don't make them like that anymore do they; talk about craftsmanship!
